. . . And, an update for our Hall Of Fame.

Happy Halloween! As we’ve done every October 31 for the past 12 years, we have posted the latest winner and two Honorable Mentions in The Ghost Story Supernatural Fiction Award Competition.

The winning piece, The Debt Jin, is by a writer who by now should be familiar to TGS readers: Gerard J Waggett. Not only did Gerry also win our Screw Turn Flash Fiction Competition for He Loved His Mamma And His Mayonnaise (Winter 2024) but he has taken three Honorable Mentions in in the Supernatural Fiction Award contest. As a result of his win this time around, we’ve had to revise his profile on our Hall Of Fame page.

Our two Honorable Mention winners this time around—James Collector; Ghosts Of Google Street View, and A.M. Castro; The Land That Scrapes Our Feet With Her Dead Tongue—are both new to our competition.

Have a read and . . . Enjoy!

Our next competition is the Winter 2027 Screw Turn Flash Fiction Competition, which will open to submissions on December 1.

Cheers— Paul Guernsey
